Feature Description
Easy Connection To access your Sage Timberline Office data there is no need for you to create data sources or build SQL queries.  Simply select your data-folder from the list, supply your Sage Timberline Office operator ID and password and you’re ready to begin working with your Sage Timberline Office data in Excel.
Sample Reports A set of over 30 report designs is included for you to use or to serve as starting points and educational resources.
Refresh Whether you use the prebuilt reports, build your own, or have reports built for you, reports can be run and refreshed anytime allowing you to retrieve current data values with just a click of the Refresh button.
Save As Values When you need to share your report with others who don’t use Office Connector, use the Save As Values feature.  This turns an Office Connector report into an ordinary Excel workbook containing static data in place of the linked data.
Save Data with Reports Data in a saved workbook is normally refreshed automatically when you open the workbook.  By saving data with the workbook, the last queried values can be stored in the workbook and redisplayed.  This enables you to work with a snapshot of your data and work disconnected from Sage Timberline Office.
Query Wizard With a designer license, the query wizard makes it a snap to create Excel queries that give you speedy access to live data.  Queries can be used with “parameters” that give you the ability to interact with your data in real time.  The query data can be refreshed at any time, and rows are automatically added and removed to reflect changes in your Sage Timberline Office data.  Formulas and totals adjacent to the query are automatically filled-down and recalculated when data is refreshed.

Powerful Worksheet Functions Office Connector adds a set of worksheet functions that you can use in Excel much like other Excel functions.  An Office Connector worksheet function can retrieve distinct or aggregate values from your database for display in a specific cell in your worksheet or for use in an Excel calculation.  Database functions similar to Excel’s SUM, VLOOKUP, COUNT functions, and others extend the power of Excel to include direct references to your company data.

Licensing

Office Connector Query is licensed by the number of users who will need to use it concurrently.  Two types of licenses are offered that determine the features available to a user.  Any number of licenses of either type can be purchased.
