Forecast
"Forecast has really helped in our financial reporting process
to get all the relevant information in front of the project managers for them
to be able to predict the cost at completion. Getting that information to the
PMs is important because they know much more about where a job will finish than
anyone looking at reports in the finance department."

Something for the Project Manager!!! Get immediate results by producing timely and accurate Forecasts and Work In Process reports by using Event 1 Forecast!
Ask yourself ...
Why do so many project managers use Excel to do forecasting?
: It's familiar, easy and flexible!
How does that information get into Sage Timberline Office on a timely basis?
: Accounting types it into Miscellaneous Worksheets, or it
DOESN'T get in!
- Access to up-to-date information, whenever they need it.
- The ability to interact with this information and manipulate it.
Excel is familiar to them and makes manipulation easy.
Event 1 Forecast brings them together!
The Forecast Cycle
- First, Forecast solicits information from Sage Timberline Office AUTOMATICALLY and displays that information in the way YOU defined.
- Once this information has been retrieved from Sage Timberline Office and formatted, you can protect it (protecting the columns you don't want to be changed).
- Next, send the Excel file via email to your project managers!
- Detached from Sage Timberline Office, in a forum Project Managers are most comfortable with (Excel), they provide accounting the information needed AND create their forecasts!
- When the updated spreadsheet is received by accounting, the information from the spreadsheet can be saved in Sage Timberline Office for use with Inquiries and Reports.
