Function Wizard - Offset

Contents Index

This step is optional and allows you to specify how many records that the TSFind function should skip over.  An example of where you would specify an offset would be to retrieve the most recent square footage change in Property Management.

Offset

The default value of zero will not skip over any records, so TSFind will return the value from the first record that satisfies the conditions you specified on the Conditions screen.  If you specify a positive number, then that many records will be skipped over and the next one will be used to retrieve the desired value.  For example, an offset of two will skip over the first two records and return the value from the third record.  If you specify an offset that skips over all of the records, then a value is not returned.
