How do I display the Excel 2003 version of the Liberty Reports toolbar?

Background

Starting with Excel 2007, the Liberty Reports tools are accessed on the Liberty Reports tab of the Excel ribbon. The Excel 2003 version of the toolbar remains available for all supported versions of Excel but, by default, is not displayed in Excel 2007 and higher. This article describes the steps to show or remove the Excel 2003 version of the toolbar.

Steps Showing the Toolbar
  1. Open Excel and navigate to any blank cell in any worksheet.
  2. Type the following formula and press enter: =LRCreateToolbar() (Upon pressing enter, the Liberty Reports toolbar will be created. In Excel 2007 and higher, the toolbar will appear on the Add-Ins tab of the ribbon).
  3. Delete the formula from the cell (this function only needs to be evaluated one-time).
Removing the Toolbar
  1. Open Excel and navigate to any blank cell in any worksheet.
  2. Type the following formula and press enter: =LRDestroyToolbar()
  3. Delete the formula from the cell (this function only needs to be evaluated one-time).
