How do I unload and load the Liberty Reports add-in?

Background

This is a general-purpose article that provides steps for manually loading and unloading the Liberty Reports add-in. The resolution for certain technical issues require the add-in to be manually loaded or unloaded, and this action may also be prescribed by technical support staff.

Steps

Unloading the Liberty Reports Add-In

Performing these steps will remove the Liberty Reports from memory. While the add-in is unloaded, Liberty Reports worksheet functions and queries no longer function.

Excel 2010 & Above

  1. Click the File menu (upper left).
  2. Click Options.
  3. Click Add-Ins.
  4. Select Excel Add-ins in the Manage box, and then click Go.
  5. In the Add-Ins list, uncheck the box for the Event 1 Liberty Reports.
  6. Click OK.

Loading/Reloading the Liberty Reports Add-In

Performing these steps will load the Liberty Reports add-in, which will then allow Liberty Reports worksheet functions and queries to be used.

Excel 2010 & Above

  1. Click the File menu (upper left).
  2. Click Options.
  3. Click Add-Ins.
  4. Select Excel Add-ins in the Manage box, and then click Go.
  5. Confirm that Event 1 Liberty Reports appears in the Add-Ins list. If the add-in does not appear in the list, follow these steps to add it.
    1. Click Browse.
    2. Navigate to the folder that contains the Liberty Reports software. This is typically "C:\Program Files\Event 1\Liberty Reports\" on 32-bit operating systems and "C:\Program Files (x86)\Event 1\Liberty Reports\" on 64-bit operating systems.
    3. Double-click the add-in file: LR.xla.
  6. In the Add-Ins list, check the box for Event 1 Liberty Reports.
  7. Click OK.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Loading the Liberty Reports add-in does not necessarily cause the toolbar to be displayed. If the toolbar does not display, click here for steps to enable the Liberty Reports toolbar.
