After opening Microsoft Excel, clicking any part of the Liberty Reports Add-in results in no action taken. Re-installing Liberty Reports does not change this behavior. The following possible Cause & Resolution could relate to the following versions of Excel:
- Excel 2007
- Excel 2010
- Excel 2013
- Excel 2016
Cause & Resolution
Due to the variety of hardware types available and the multiple versions of Excel in use there are a couple of reasons this symptom may occur.
As more and more graphics processing technology becomes available, the hardware acceleration provided by your graphics processor may begin interfering with the operation of Excel and, in turn, Liberty Reports.
To work around this problem, disable hardware acceleration until a fix is released by your video card manufacturer. Make sure to check regularly for updates to your video card driver. To disable hardware acceleration, follow these steps:
- Open Microsoft Excel
- On the File tab, click Options.
- In the Options dialog box, click Advanced.
- In the list of available options, select the Disable hardware graphics acceleration check box.
- 2768648 Performance and display issues in Office 2013 client applications.
