- Excel 2007 and higher: The Office Connector toolbar does not appear on the Add-Ins tab of the ribbon.
- Excel 2003 and prior: The Office Connector toolbar does not appear in the toolbar area at the top with other toolbars.
Cause 1 - Add-In Not Loaded
Assuming that the Office Connector software has been installed, the toolbar would not appear if add-in has not been loaded in Excel. Loading of the add-in should occur automatically when Excel starts unless it has previously been unloaded. Follow the steps outlined in the following article to load the Office Connector add-in.
Cause 2 - Toolbar Hidden by Administrator
The Office Connector Administrator utility can be used to show or hide the Office Connector toolbar based on Windows user name. Default visibility can also be assigned for Windows users not explicitly identified. If Office Connector Administrator has been installed and configured, one of the following situations might be true:
- The administrator has turned off toolbar visibility for your Windows user name
- Your Windows user name is not listed in Office Connector Administrator and the administrator has turned off toolbar visibility for all unlisted users.
