Liberty Reports for Sage 100 Contractor uses your Sage 100 Contractor login credentials when making a connection to your data. The login credentials that you enter are validated using the Sage 100 Contractor API. This article describes some possible reasons that you might be unable to successfully login.
Symptoms
After you enter your login credentials (user name and password) and click OK, you might be receiving one of the following messages:
"Invalid user name or password."
"The user name you specified either does not exist, does not have security clearance or does not use the password you specified. Please enter a valid user name and password."
"Unable to validate the user name and password because the Sage 100 Contractor API returned an unexpected value of "10000"."
"Unable to validate the user name and password because the Sage 100 Contractor API returned an unexpected value of "10600"."
Potential Causes & Resolutions
Cause 1 - Sage 100 Contractor API Configuration The user name must be a member of the API group within Sage 100 Contractor. Click here for more information.
Cause 2 - User Name or Password is incorrect Confirm that you have entered the user name exactly as it appears within Sage 100 Contractor. User names are not case sensitive. Likewise, confirm that your password is being entered exactly as it appears within Sage 100 Contractor. Unlike user names, passwords are case sensitive.
Cause 3 - Invalid Characters Either the user name or password contains characters that are not supported by the Sage 100 Contractor API. Note that these characters may be allowed when logging into Sage 100 Contractor however these characters are not allowed by the Sage 100 Contractor API.
